The CCIII Compatibility Updater is a utility developed by vonB to provide a seamless, automatic method for making Close Combat III: The Russian Front run correctly on modern Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems
Originally released in 1998 for Windows 95/98, Close Combat III depends on legacy technologies that no longer exist in modern versions of Windows. As a result, the game will not launch without intervention.
The good news is that CCIII runs perfectly once a few adjustments are applied. These can be done manually, but the CCIII Compatibility Updater performs all required steps automatically, leaving you with a fully configured, ready-to-play installation.
